A gala lives or dies in its transitions: doors to drinks, drinks to dinner, dinner to speeches. Live piano is the thread that holds them together.

Send me the run of show, with timings, and I plan the music to it. If the evening has a theme — a country, a decade, an honoree — the programme can be built around it.
Is there a piano, and where is it? Many Las Vegas hotel ballrooms and private dining rooms have a grand. Its position matters: near the entrance for the reception, not behind the stage. If there is no piano, ask early whether one can be brought in.
Is the piano tuned? Ask for a tuning on the day or the day before. It is the single best investment in the music.
How long? Two hours is the minimum, with travel and breaks included in the booked time. A longer evening is simply quoted longer. A violin or cello with the piano can be arranged for larger rooms.
